FIELD: water engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of water engineering and prevention of dangerous hydrological phenomena and can be used to restore the geophysical stability of emergency ground dams on weak water-saturated bases to reduce the risks of man-made floods and floods during breakthroughs of reservoirs protected by ground dams. The method includes the creation of a vertical anti-filtration wall to the bedrock in an emergency ground dam on a weak foundation on the upper side from the crest of the dam, and on the lower side from the latter, the creation of vertical “sand piles” or drains with the connection of their upper sections with an inclined drainage, as well as the creation of a drainage buried in the base along the bottom of the bottom slope of the dam. It is also envisaged to create a vertical highly permeable, discharged cutoff wall from the bottom side of the “sand piles” in the area of the sole of the bottom slope of the dam.
EFFECT: proposed method makes it possible to increase the reliability of restoring the geophysical stability of emergency protective ground dams of reservoirs on weak water-saturated bases, reduces the likelihood of their breakthrough with the risk of man-made floods and floods.
