FIELD: mechanical engineering; connection of shafts arranged at angle relative to each other. SUBSTANCE: multipurpose ball joint has ball head enclosed in housing, connecting members in form of balls placed in cavities of housing and in grooves of ball head. Ball head has outer spherical surface with meridional groove in axial plane formed by inner concave toroidal surfaces. Housing has inner cylindrical surface changing into cone-shaped surface mated with ball head and provided with holes at height of ball head with radius smaller than radius of support balls. Locking prevents falling out of balls. EFFECT: enlarged operating capabilities. 2 dwg
