FIELD: testing equipment. SUBSTANCE: installation for detection of gas leaks from tested tank 1 has standard tank 2, main lines 3 and 4 to supply gas into tested 1 and standard 2 tanks with valves 5, 6 and 7 installed in them, manometer 8 connected to tested tank 1, measurement main line 9 with differential manometer 10 mounted in it. Manometer presents U-shaped tube 11 filled with liquid 12 joined with one knee to tested tank 1 and with other knee to standard tank. Installation also includes reading device 13 formed by laser 14, two flat optically translucent covers 15 and 16 hermetically closing butts of knees of U-shaped tube 11. Semitransparent mirror 17 (18) and photodetector 19 (20) are put along axis of each of them. Semitransparent mirrors 17 and 18 are positioned at angle 45 deg to axis of optical radiation of laser 14. Dummy mirror 21 is mounted behind semitransparent mirrors perpendicular to axis of optical radiation of laser 14. Installation incorporates two signal processing units 22 and 23, adder 24 and indicator 25. Outputs of photodetectors 19 and 20 are connected to inputs of signal processing units 22 and 23 which outputs are linked to input of adder 24 which output is connected to input of indicator 25.
