FIELD: instruments, in particular, Compton computer tomography. SUBSTANCE: method involves treating body in different directions with gamma and X-ray collimated beams which powers are E1 and E2, detection of reflected radiation with collimated detectors D1 and D2 and calculation of absolute value of density by means of given algorithm. Initially axes of collimators and detector are oriented so that they intersect in point which is located on surface of body. Then, method involves discrete movement of rigid system of source and detector in direction of given coordinate X which runs through body and measurement of radiation flow N1i that enters detector D1 for each step of movement, which is run until intersection point of axes of source collimators and detector reaches inner surface of body. Then method involves setting source power to energy of quanta which are dissipated by angle θ in direction of detector E2= Es(θ), locating radiation source with energy E2 in position of detector D1, locating detector D2 in position of radiation source with energy E1 and discrete movement of system of source and detector along X coordinate towards body surface. Simultaneously method involves measurement of radiation flow N2i which is detected for each step of movement until intersection point of axes of source collimators and detector reaches body surface. Then given algorithm is used for calculation of density ρi in series for each movement step. EFFECT: increased functional capabilities. 2 dwg
