FIELD: measurement equipment.
SUBSTANCE: scope of application: for beneficiation (separation) of mineral and secondary metallurgical raw material. Essence of the invention consists in the fact that intensities of scattered X-ray radiation from the separated specimen and a screen located after it are compared; besides, there compared are ratios of intensities of two sections of X-ray spectrum of scattered radiation from the separated material and the screen located after it, with an effective atomic number which is intermediate between effective atomic numbers of sampled and passed separated material.
EFFECT: improvement of separation quality.
