FIELD: railway rolling stock. SUBSTANCE: body has lower frame, side and end face walls and roof. Walls of body in zone of lower frame are made in form of ail-welded structure. All-welded structure is connected with roof by means of upper sectionalized units or intermediate brackets. Roof is made of, at least, one sectionalized unit. Method of manufacture of car body comes to the following: roof is connected with above-indicated structure through intermediate brackets to form transport unit. Upper sectionalized units made preliminarily are mounted in transport unit and then unit is delivered to place of final assembling. Roof and intermediate brackets are removed from structure, upper sectionalized units are connected with all-welded structure and roof is installed.
