FIELD: space engineering; device for reduction of aerodynamic disturbances acting on artificial satellites in orbital flights. SUBSTANCE: artificial satellite includes casing 1 and orientation and stabilization system 2. Reduction of air-dynamic disturbances is achieved through mounting shield 5 in front of casing 1 in way of flight. Working surfaces of shield 5 ensure angle of attack lesser than 50 deg which corresponds to quasi-mirror reflection of incoming flow creating lesser force of drag as compared with diffuse reflection. Shield 5 is made in form of lattice containing wedge- shaped and rectangular plates located on either side. Position of these plates provide for practically single reflection of flow. Shield may be made in form of inflatable wedge which is necessary for reduction of its overall dimensions and mass; shield may be also included in other systems of artificial satellite, for example, it may be combined with radiation panels 4 of thermal condition maintenance system. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 2 cl, 4 dwg
