FIELD: aircraft engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the Earth artificial satellite onboard navigation systems for low orbits (up to 500-600 km). The claimed system comprises a system control device and the converter of navigation signals into navigation parameters, a unit for the conversion of navigation parameters into the parameters of the satellite centre of gravity and a unit for the prediction of gravity centre parameters, all connected with it. The onboard navigation system comprises a ballistic factor refinement unit that mates design and actual satellite motion parameters, a ballistic factor current magnitudes accumulation unit and a ballistic factor prediction unit. The ballistic factor prediction unit exploits the ballistic factor prediction algorithm adaptive either relative to the model parameters or the structure. The said algorithm can incorporate the relationships of the empiric regression or the batch method of arguments accounting.
EFFECT: higher accuracy of prediction.
