FIELD: chemistry of complex compounds, more particularly control of CO content in exhaust gases of internal combustion engines. SUBSTANCE: novel complex rhodium (I) compound such as di(allylamino) dicarbonyl(bis-m-chloro)dirhodium (I) is prepared from complex dicarbonyl (benz-2,1,3-thiadiazolechlororhodium in two stages. Initial complex is first reacted with allylamine to obtain dicarbonyl (allylamino) chlororhodium (I) which is further subjected to partial decarbonylation to form final product. Compound shows indicator properties, that is, it readily reacts with carbon oxide (II) and color changes from orange to dark blue, which fact can be observed visually. EFFECT: improved properties.
