FIELD: nonferrous metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: process is carried out in two communicating vessels. Tellurium-containing alloy Te1-xClx where x = 0.40-0.66 is placed into one vessel, whereupon the two vessels are sealed. Alloy is heated to 425-450 C. After tellurium is separated in the first vessel, in the second vessel, admixtures contained in liquid phase are condensed. EFFECT: improved procedure. 1 dwg, 1 tbl
