FIELD: mining industry. SUBSTANCE: bit has body 1, connection part 2, flushing passages 3, matrix made up of layers 4, 5 with rock cutters 6 located between them. Layers 4, 5 are located perpendicularly or at incline to plane which is perpendicular to longitudinal axis of bit, and positioned between them is cutter 6. Layer 4 located in direction of bit rotation before cutter 6 is less wear-resistant than layer 5 located behind cutter 6. In drilling, layer 4 due to erosion wear exposes front edge of cutter 6 thus forming hydraulic passage for inflow of liquid to rock crushing zone, cooling of cutter 6, cleaning and wetting of bottom-hole surface. Wear-resistant layer 5 of matrix, in process of drilling functions as supporting member for cutter 6, limits its penetration into rock beyond permissible value, takes dynamic loads created due to vibration of drilling tool. This allows for optimization of operation mode of rock crushing cutters 6 at intensification of drilling process. EFFECT: high efficiency. 1 cl, 4 dwg
