FIELD: mining, particularly drilling equipment used for exploration well drilling, namely equipment, which may be used in combined rock cutting methods including rock surface layer heating.
SUBSTANCE: rock-cutting tool comprises crown body with slots adapted to receive drive made as cylindrical stub and cutter holder. The drive is made of hyperelastic material. Cutters project over friction member plane for distance equal to sum of elastic and non-elastic return deformation distances. As surface rock layer weakens and alloy heats up to temperature exceeding temperature of reverse martensite transformation termination under the action of friction heat linear drive dimensions in channel direction increases so that cutters penetrate rock massif.
EFFECT: provision of additional cutters extension from under friction members as cutters wear out to compensate crown cutter blade wear.
