FIELD: mining industry.
SUBSTANCE: device has body, friction elements for destroying surface rock layer with heating, and heat resistant cutters for removing that layer. Friction elements and heat-resistant cutters are fixed on one body. Cutters are mounted in advance relatively to friction elements for value, determined from relation δ=V/nk, where V - planned mechanical drilling speed, m/sec; n - number of toll rotations for 1 sec., turns/sec; k - number of cutters on one cutting line.
EFFECT: higher efficiency and reliability.
