FIELD: hydrogeology and oil production industry. SUBSTANCE: this can be used in operation of artesian, hydrogeological, and oil wells also. It improves permeability of filter zone as to product extracted and cuts power cost. According to method, filter zone of water or oil well is subjected to treatment by different-polar pulsing current. Quasi-rectangular pulses of current with duty factor of 1-3 are used for water well, and with duty factor of 0.8-1.3 for oil well. Trailing edge of these pulses are recorded. Duration of pulses and amperage are taken of values ensuring freeing of pores and capillaries in filter zone during at least 10-12 h with simultaneous achievement of maximal rate of pulse decay and maximal amperage. Freeing of water pores and capillaries for oil well by gas is effected until rate of pulse decay reaches value lying within 130-150% of initial value. Device has power source connected by power cables with working electrodes. Power source is in the form of voltage regulator. It is connected through step-down transformer with rectifier unit. Device has current commutator and low-frequency pulse modulator. Also provided is monitor and control unit. All components of device are connected according to special scheme.
