WALKING UNIT FOR TAKING SAMPLES FROM SEA AND OCEAN BOTTOMS Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: mining industry; taking samples of bottom sediments in water reservoirs. SUBSTANCE: the offered unit is connected with craft and includes working member, truss pulling carriage of working member for moving over truss, two supporting tables with vertical and horizontal hinges, turning mechanism, pulling winch, float and guides attached to supporting tables and having bars with shoes. Table guides are made in form of bodies of hydraulic cylinders and bars in form of rods with pistons to form head and rod end. Rod end is communicated with ambient medium. The unit has system for fixing means on all supports. The system is made in form of tight tank with working fluid, pump with filter and safety valve and connected with head ends of hydraulic cylinders of pressure line with controlled distributor and check valves at inlet of head ends and return line with throttle and controlled pressure-relief valves at the outlet of head ends.
