SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mining, in particular to devices for underwater mining. Walking installation for transporting and laying oil and gas pipes on the seabed contains a truss hinged with the supports, a working element, a counterweight with the drum moving inside the truss. Distinctive feature of the installation is that the truss is equipped with a rack bar and longitudinal rails, and the working element is made in the form of an external and an internal tube concentrically installed relative to the truss and to each other, the internal tube is provided with a drive geared wheel, annular guides, a gear ring and running wheels that are movably connected to the longitudinal rails of the truss, and the external tube is equipped with a drive gear engaging with the gear ring and rollers connected to the annular guides of the internal tube with the possibility of rotational movement, telescopic manipulator of cargo gripping, for example oil and gas pipes, is rigidly fixed on the external tube.

EFFECT: device can also be used for laying oil and gas pipes on the seabed and onshore, geological prospecting, development of peat deposits, and construction in difficult geological conditions.
