FIELD: transport engineering; automobile exhaust systems. SUBSTANCE: automobile exhaust pipe is enclosed in tapering nozzle whose length conforms to ratio l/do-d3>0,91 ln(d1-d3/do-d3)2 in area of values of argument where 1 is length of nozzle, do, d3 are diameters of nozzle and exhaust pipe outlet cross sections d1 is maximum size of nozzle inlet cross section. Nozzle has additional cylindrical pipe installed coaxially with exhaust pipe. This additional pipe can have inlet section made in form of nozzle whose inlet cross section coincides with rear end face wall of muffler and air intake has extension pointed to muffler, forming smoothly bending channel together with additional pipe. EFFECT: increased efficiency of engine operation. 3 cl, 3 dwg
