FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: bearing has metallic race with spherical outer surface and outer race with spherical inner surface between which an antifriction insert is interposed. The outer race is made of casting material (polyamide, aluminum, bronze, pig iron) and is received inside a thin-walled metallic cage. The antifriction spacer is made of elastic durable material. The method comprises machining one of the races and casting the other one. Before casting the outer race graphite or disulfide-molybdenum grease lubricant is applied to the spherical surface of the inner ring. The elastic antifriction spaces is set on the lubricant. The race with grease lubricant and spacer is set in a casting die and centered with respect to the thin-walled metallic cage mounted in the same casting die that allows material to fill all free space between the spacer and inner surface of the cage.
