FIELD: measurement technology. SUBSTANCE: magnet is placed on surface of tested coat and thickness of coat is evaluated by force of attraction of magnet. In this case magnet is brought to contact with additional mechanical vibration system with preset parameters of mass and rigidly, free vibrations of given system are excited by pulse action and frequency of free vibrations is measured and used to estimate force of attraction of magnet.
