FIELD: cable engineering. SUBSTANCE: copper wire is annealed in oxygen-free medium at 500 C, strands are made of it, insulated, and stranded conductor is made of them which is covered with sheath. Copper wires of 0.03-3.0 mm in diameter are used for that purpose number of copper wires and strand pitch are chosen so that strand pitch ratio is within 4-40 and number of strands and strand pitch during stranding procedure are chosen so that strand pitch ratio is within 20-40; each next lay of insulated strands has higher strand pitch. EFFECT: improved operating characteristics of stranded conductor due to improved flexibility. 1 dwg
