FIELD: electrical engineering; variable-field sensors and transformers. SUBSTANCE: amorphous magnetic tape is subjected to thermomagnetic treatment in relatively perpendicular magnetic fields, one of which is longitudinal and homogeneous and other one is transverse and circular current field with current flowing through tape and heating it to temperature at which thermomagnetic treatment is effective. Polarity reversal in longitudinal magnetic field of thermomagnetically treated tape is accompanied by circular variation of its magnetization exciting, according to law of electromagnetic induction, electromotive force between its ends.
