FIELD: defectoscopy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to non-destructive testing of articles made from ferromagnetic materials and is intended to determine the values of mechanical compressive stresses in low-carbon steels. Device for nondestructive testing of compressive mechanical stresses in low-carbon steels contains a magnetizing, a bias and measuring systems, measuring system comprises a measuring coil connected to a signal digitizer and an indicator, wherein the magnetizing system is made in the form of an U-shaped magnetic circuit from a soft magnetic material with magnetizing windings at its two poles, the bias system is made in the form of an exciting coil, measuring system is equipped with a Hall sensor connected to the signal digitizer and arranged in the holes of a measuring and exciting coils mounted coaxially in a housing fixed in an interpole space of the U-shaped magnetic circuit on its bridge by a spring-loaded suspension.
EFFECT: accuracy increase in the article testing, increase in the testing localization, exptension of the scope of the device.
