FIELD: manufacturing of electronic-to-optical transducers and cathode-ray tubes. SUBSTANCE: method involves manufacturing of microchannel plate from thermally plastic material, stretching channel fiber, backing it into unit with parallel channels, manufacturing of blank from this unit. Blank is shaped as prism or straight cylinder which has acute angle between channel axis and cylinder height. It is not greater than 17 degrees. Then method involves mounting blank in die which embraces it along part of side surface, heating it and generation of channel deflection using inertia force which effects blank in softened state in direction which is perpendicular to its height.
