FIELD: measurement technology, measurements between spectral lines in spectrum or in adjacent spectra. SUBSTANCE: proposed comparator has source of light, sighting and reading systems, mechanism moving spectrogram, signal processing unit, computer and control desk. Sighting system is manufactured in the form of condenser, spectral slot of variable width, objective lens, rotary mirror and screen positioned in series on optical axis. Reading system is made in the form of parallelogram mechanism including light-splitting screen and measurement slot with mechanism of its inclination, device moving parallelogram mechanism and photodetection unit. Mechanism moving spectrogram is fabricated in the form of pulling means. Signal processing unit has amplifiers which inputs are connected to outputs of photodetection unit and which outputs are connected to proper inputs of analog-to-digital converter and to computer and control desk through controlling bus. Mechanism of inclination of measurement slot, unit controlling pulling of film, transmitter of film pulling and device moving parallelogram mechanism are connected to controlling bus.
