FIELD: connection of several tubes which have polymer that conducts electric current. SUBSTANCE: device has element which conducts electric current, is designed as ribbon which has regions of different resistance in order to achieve different heating temperatures for heating these regions. Region of lesser resistance has additional strip which runs along part of ribbon. Ribbon is spaced from electrodes by regions of greater resistance. Different heating temperatures are achieved by removal of separate ribbon parts from ribbon. Current flow is controlled by presence of insulation spaces. Method for generation of joint involves folding joint of elements to be connected by ribbon which conducts electric current and is connected to electrodes which are connected to power supply in order to pass current through ribbon material. Ribbon provides possibility to control electric current in its different regions. EFFECT: non-uniform electric current on ribbon regions. 11 cl, 13 dwg
