SUBSTANCE: device for placement of optical fibers has two different modules as minimum chosen from following modules: storage module including baseplate carrying at least one storage aid for optical fibers, offtake module including baseplate carrying at least one aid taking aside optical fibers and guiding module including baseplate with collection of protrusions among which optical fibers can be guided. Each module can be joined directly or indirectly to another module so that their baseplates placed nearby jointly form baseplate of larger size.
