FIELD: corrosion protection. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to corrosion protection of underground metal objects involving application of electric current and consists in the following. Well-conducting, e.g. copper elongated core is enveloped by conducting polymer formulation being in electric contact with the former. Between outside polymer shell and conducting polymer formulation, carbon-rich material is placed. Immunity of polymer shell to acids and chlorine is estimated from the change in relative elongation and corresponding maximum loading after a part of polymer shell material was immersed for 90 days into hydrochloric acid with concentration at least 0.01 N or into oxidized sodium hypochlorite. As compared to analogous parameters when testing check part of material, decrease in maximum loading and decrease in relative elongation in each case is no higher than 40 and 30%, respectively.
