FIELD: low-capacity drying chambers for vegetables, medical herbs, berries and roots. SUBSTANCE: domestic drying chamber is just microwave oven which includes magnetron with power supply and control system, housing with waveguide and working chamber; at least one wall of this working chamber is provided with perforations for passage of air and exhaust fan connected to part of surface of perforated wall. Fan is provided with individual switch and diffuser; large base of diffuser is connected to perforated wall; area of perforated wall covered by diffuser is equal to 0.5- 1.0 of cross sectional area of working chamber. One wall of working chamber may be provided with additional perforation for passage of air which is closed by adjustable damper. perforated shelves of pans for placing the material to be dried may be mounted in working chamber in 2-4 tiers with air gaps between them. EFFECT: reduction of drying time to 2 3 cycles; avoidance of steaming of products; high quality of finished product. 2 cl, 2 dwg
