FIELD: agriculture. SUBSTANCE: milking unit has single-chamber teat cups, hose-type pump with two cylindrical sections having diameter ratio of 40-60%. Two hoses are positioned in each section. One hose in each section is engageable with two pinching rollers for creating continuous vacuum and other hose is engageable with one pinching roller to provide intermittent vacuum. Suction branch pipes of hoses engageable with two pinching rollers are provided with regulators for altering vacuum extent. Pinching rollers of hoses engageable with one roller are offset one relative to the other for an angle of 180 deg to create vacuum with 180 deg shift. Suction branch pipes of hoses of section having smaller diameter are communicated through pipes with lower parts of teat cups seated onto front less productive pair of udder teats. Suction branch pipes of hoses of section having greater diameter are communicated through pipes with lower parts of teat cups put onto rear more productive pair of udder teats. Such arrangement allows balanced milking out of front and rear quadrants of udder to be performed. Pump hoses positioned in section with smaller diameter are communicated with teat cups put onto front pair of teats and not communicated with hoses of section with larger diameter, which are communicated with teat cups put onto rear pair of teats to provide for independent operation of teat cups of front and rear pairs of teats.
