FIELD: abdominal surgery. SUBSTANCE: method involves conducting laser device to portal vein adjacent vein opening during abdominal operation. Laser device has polyvinyl chloride tube provided with quartz hemispherical member and having quartz light guide with distal end bent at an angle of 90 deg. Method further involves leading out proximal end of tube to front peritoneum wall; exposing portal blood to low-intensity red laser radiation in postoperative period for 25-30 min, with energy density at laser device output ranging between 8 and 10 MW/sq.cm. EFFECT: increased efficiency and enhanced reliability in operation. 3 cl, 2 dwg
