FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves performing liver puncture with needle under ultrasonic guidance and control. The needle is directed along a trajectory leading to the portal vein or one of its large branches leaving 0.5 cm to its wall. Light guide is introduced through the needle lumen. The light guide is pushed until its end touches the wall of portal vein main trunk or branch. Blood in the portal vein lumen is exposed to radiation and the liver parenchyma is concurrently irradiated without penetrating the vein lumen. EFFECT: low degree of invasiveness; reduced risk of postoperative complications. 2 cl
