FIELD: individual protection means for construction workers. SUBSTANCE: safety device has belt 1 with tight backing 2 secured to belt 1 and strap 3 with carbine 4. Backing 2 has enlarged back portion 7. Upper edge 10 of back portion 7 has rectilinear portion whose arched portions are mated with upper edge of end portions 8,9. Lower edge 11 of back portion 7 is made arched and mated with lower edges of end portions 8 and 9. Length of lower edge 11 exceeds that of rectilinear portion of upper edge 10. Optimum geometrical parameters of safety belt are presented in Specifications. EFFECT: increased efficiency and provision for preventing construction workers from osteochondrosis of lumbar region. 5 cl, 3 dwg
