FIELD: hydrogen production. SUBSTANCE: hydrocarbon gas is submitted to steam conversion. Produced gas containing hydrogen and carbon monoxide is conveyed into carbon monoxide conversion stage. Converted gas is cooled and treated to remove condensate and then carbon dioxide. Afterwards gas is fried from impurities via short-cycle adsorption technique to yield pure hydrogen. Adsorbent is regenerated using blowing it through with a part of pure hydrogen to produce regeneration gas which is further introduced into carbon monoxide conversion stage.
