FIELD: mining industry. SUBSTANCE: invention concerns alumina production with special emphasis on leaching bauxite in autoclave battery. According to invention, bauxite slurry is heated to reaction temperature by way of supplying steam simultaneously into lower and upper parts of one of the two or of the two heating autoclaves being the first in direction of slurry travel.
