FIELD: pipeline valving. SUBSTANCE: gate valve has housing accommodating internally saddle, gate disc with axle and disc spring. The gate disc is connected with drive shaft with the aid of connecting rod articulated with crank of crank mechanism. The housing has a side boss with drive shaft installed therein. The connecting rod is freely mounted on the axle of the gate disc and its length over the fastening axles is less than the gate disc radius. When the gate disc is in the completely open position, its axle lies in one plane and at one level with the axis of the drive shaft and connecting rod is perpendicular to the mentioned plane. EFFECT: improved reliability of valve operation. 3 dwg
