FIELD: refrigerating engineering. SUBSTANCE: vortex thermal converter contains tangential nozzle inlet, power separation chamber with jacket and rear wall with fairing, flow swirler and axial outlet branch pipe. Circular chamber is made in form of biconvex lens with curvilinear surfaces coupled over outer diameter. Power separation chamber is smoothly engageable with center portion of circular chamber, fairing of rear wall and axial branch pipe. Fairing is made in form of funnel with radial transition from rear wall. Swirler is mounted on cold medium outlet branch pipe and is rigidly connected with tip of fairing. Outer surface of hot chamber is provided with jacket for pumping heat-transfer agent. Jacket for low-potential heat-transfer agent is provided on surface of cold section of separation chamber and axial branch pipe. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 5 cl, 5 dwg
