FIELD: medicine; neonatology. SUBSTANCE: newborn's blood sample is first incubated for 24 h at temperature 37 C, followed by measuring chemiluminescence induced by addition of H2O2. If chemiluminescence intensity is increased by more than 1.9 times, bacteriemia case is diagnosed. EFFECT: higher efficiency.
