FIELD: data-measuring technique; closing mechanisms for automatic devices actuated by coins and tags. SUBSTANCE: device has generator, inductance coils arranged coaxially, magnetic circuit, coil line between inductance coils, actuating unit, and indicator; in addition, device is provided with frequency divider, pulse shaper for current induced in identified coin, desired-amplitude output pulse counter, and pulse-width detector; frequency divider and pulse shaper are connected between generator and one of inductance coils two remaining coils being differentially interconnected and connected to desired-amplitude output pulse counter and to first input of pulse-width detector whose outputs are connected to inputs of actuating unit; generator output is connected to second input of pulse-width detector. During coin movement, set of eddy-current signals is converted in magnetic circuit into single numeric characteristics; length of first polarity of output signal is converted into other numeric characteristics, and signal obtained after their processing is sufficient to identify the coin. EFFECT: enlarged functional capabilities and improved accuracy of coin identification. 2 dwg
