FIELD: antenna equipment; may be used in radio engineering, TV and radio broadcasting and satellite communication systems of meter and decimeter ranges. SUBSTANCE: zigzag antenna has two main unclosed turns positioned in one plane one above other, turned to each other with unclosed ends and interconnected via terminals of power supply line. It is fitted with two additional unclosed turns each turned through 90 deg relative to adjacent turn, facing each other with unclosed ends and interconnected. In this case, third and fourth turns are connected to terminals of two-wire power supply line through additional sections of two-wire power supply line. Its length from terminals of power supply to start of each turn amounts to quarter length of electromagnetic wave. Zigzag antenna may differ by that the third and fourth turns are in the form of unclosed squares. It may be different by positioning of third and fourth turns in the same plane as first and second turns. Zigzag antenna may be distinguished by arrangement of third and fourth turns in plane parallel relative to first and second turns. EFFECT: increased coefficient of directed action. 4 cl, 2 dwg
