FIELD: physics; radio.
SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for use as a part of radio arrangements for TV, broadcasting and radio communication in VHF and UHF bands. The zig-zag aerial consists of first, second and third pairs of opposite pieces of wire having length equal half-wave length, laying in one plane and symmetrised concerning the basic axis transiting through points of their crossover, connected in series one by one, and the two-wire feed line splitting in two equal pieces of the, connected in cross points of the two opposite pieces of wire of the second pair. The feed line pieces, in turn, can have equal length or differ on length on a quarter of wave length.
EFFECT: creation of an antenna element with raised directivity.
