SUBSTANCE: present invention is meant for use as part of radio devices for television, radio broadcasting and wireless communication in VHF and UHF ranges. The frame antenna consists of a wire coil, located along the sides of two squares, which are located along the common diagonal one after the other, and open at the corners of different squares, lying on opposite sides of the common diagonal, and branching into two sections of a two-wire power supply line. The sections are connected at the centres of two opposite sides of the squares and can have equal length or different lengths by a quarter of wavelength. Several coils can be installed along one axis parallel each other at a distance of approximately quarter of wavelength and connected in series to a two-wire power supply line. The orthogonal long sides are connected through additional sections with length of a quarter of wavelength. Linear dimensions of the coils along the power supply line from one to the other can vary according to a logarithmic law. Only the first coil can be connected to the power supply line. Therefore, other coils located on one side of the first are shortened, and those on the other side are made longer. A flat conducting screen (reflector) can be installed parallel the first coil. At a defined distance above the first coil, a second coil can be installed, the diagonal of which is perpendicular to the main diagonal of the first coil.
EFFECT: design of a universal polarisation antenna element with high directional selectivity.
