FIELD: medicine; cosmetology. SUBSTANCE: patient is first subjected to partial resection of nasal septum along nose bottom, and to osteotomy, followed by reducing nose height by pressing nose in. For this purpose, surgeon must press by fingers onto mobilized bone slopes so as to press them inwardly. Osseous-cartilaginous segment of nasal pyramid is thereby displaced backwards, as far as under bases of frontal processes of maxilla. Nose back is shifted backwards until anterior and posterior edges of nasal septum contact each other. Due to fact that nose back pyramid is wedged under base of frontal processes of maxilla, nose back cannot shift sideways. In conclusion, surgeon must secure anterior-inferior segment of nasal septum to tissues by interrupted catgut suture. EFFECT: as distinct from prior-art methods, proposed method makes it possible to operate noses with high and hooked backs, thus obtaining stabler cosmetic results. 1 tbl, 8 dwg
