FIELD: medicine; prosthesis for intravascular surgery. SUBSTANCE: proposed stent is made in form of bulk body, surface of which is formed by at least two groups of interwoven threads or fibers 1 and 2 made of material possessing shape memory effect and wound as multi-pass turns at angle with respect to each other along helix. Each group of threads is formed of single length of material. At ends of bulk body each thread has transition passages, over each of which thread belonging to one group passes into thread of another group. In prosthetizing through-going defect 4 in vessel wall or in septum 5, diameter of central portion of stent is made as little as possible, whereas its diameter at axial ends is made as big as possible, total length of stent exceeding maximum diameter of injured spot or defect to be prosthetized. EFFECT: structural design of stent offers number of advantages viz; uniform pressure onto inner walls of vessel, it is reliably fixable in vessel, large-diameter vessels can be prosthetized, insertion of stent into guide catheter is simplified. 11 cl, 5 dwg
