FIELD: medicine; neurology; neurosurgery. SUBSTANCE: patient is subjected to effect of altered barometric pressure in compression chamber under oxygen pressure ranging between 1.2 and 1.8 atm., session duration being 50-60 min. and number of therapeutic sessions per treatment course being 5-8. In course of session electroencephalogram and electrocardiogram are again taken to select adequate oxygen pressure value within mentioned pressure range. Oxygen pressure value thus-selected must be such that increased percentage of alpha-rhythm on electroencephalogram and rarer pulse rate on electrocardiogram would be observed. Proposed method is applicable to treatment of patients with sleep disorders caused by both functional neurological disorders, and by organic injuries to brain of vascular, traumatic and other nature. EFFECT: enhanced therapeutic efficiency of treatment. 1 dwg
