METHOD FOR COMBINED MASSAGE Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: medicine; reflexotherapy; massage. SUBSTANCE: first patient is subjected to thermoregulation tests in order to determine, whether his (her) thermoregulation is correct or not, as shown by conditions of overcooling or overheating. If any deviations from norm are detected, heated or cooled massaging agent is applied onto patient's skin, followed by massage. Massaging agent comprises biologically active substance, e.g. BIVATON preparation. Massage is started by subjecting patient to bioenergetic action. In executing various massage techniques (steps), physiotherapeutist must exert physical action onto tissues being massages in strictly perpendicular direction, without any shifts, stretching or displacement of tissues in horizontal direction. By their nature, massaging movements must remind penetration into patient's body, kneading and squeezing it, while, simultaneously, transmitting to it bioenergetic wave effect. Massage intensity is gradually increased at beginning of massaging procedure to reduce it at end. Massage produces generally reinvigorating, revitalizing and rejuvenating effect both upon skin, and on entire organism. Massage according to proposed method accelerates growth of new, young skin cells which throw off by themselves keratosic cells, without producing any damaging effect upon skin. As result of massage, wrinkles are smoothed out, cicatrices are resolved, freckles and pigmentary spots disappear, skin gets rid of acne and pustules, it becomes resilient and elastic.
