METHOD FOR TREATMENT OF PARODONTITIS Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: magnetotherapy; therapeutic stomatology. SUBSTANCE: proposed method starts treatment by eliminating local irritating factors (dental deposits of supra- and subgingival dental calculus, restoration of contact points, etc.), followed by subjecting gingivae surrounding pain-causing tooth (teeth) to magnetovibromassage using inductor provided with core. Gingivae undergo massage by moving inductor to left- to right, upwards-downwards, by effecting circular movements, thereby exposing gingivae to effect of low-frequency pulsed complex-modulated magnetic field, pulse repetition frequency being selected depending on therapeutic session duration, viz.: 3'-F=30 Hz; - F 50-70 Hz; 5' - scanning over frequencies from 0 to 170 Hz; modulation frequency comprised within 0.4-0.6 Hz, exposure time 13-15 min.; treatment course including 4-6 therapeutic sessions.
