FIELD: sports and medical equipment. SUBSTANCE: method involves fixing upper part of spine; unbending and bending lumbar region of spine and dosing loading on muscles participating in the motion. As a result, lumbar region muscles are strengthened, physiological proportionality of muscles is formed, when muscles of lower part of spine are capable of bearing larger loading than muscles of upper part of spine, correct posture is provided and flexibility of lumbar region of spine is increased. Apparatus has fixed thrust for upper part of back connected with hand thrust, which is adapted for fixing upper part of back, movable thrust for lumbar region of spine and pelvis. The latter is connected through pulley system with weight pack. Apparatus is further provided with adjustable-height foot rest. EFFECT: increased efficiency in correcting posture of user, strengthening of muscles of lumbar region, simplified construction and wider operational capabilities. 3 cl, 1 dwg
