FIELD: rolling equipment. SUBSTANCE: joint assembly of spindle of rolling mill includes yoke, sleeve, barrel-type rollers, end limiting rings. Semicircle cross section grooves are provided in inner surface of yoke and in outer surface of sleeve. In said grooves between yoke and sleeve there are rollers whose centers are arranged on pitch circle of joint assembly. Roller generatrix is defined by curve of variable radius reducing from roller center to its ends. Radius of groove is more than radius of mean cross section of roller. Centers of their circles are displaced relative to pitch circle for said yoke - towards center of joint assembly, for said sleeve - from center of joint assembly by distance calculated according to relation connecting length half of roller, maximum skewing angle of yoke relative to sleeve, radius of central cross section of roller, minimum radius of roller end. Central part of sleeve is spherical one, it contacts with inner surface of yoke. Lateral parts of sleeve are cone with inclination angle of cone generatrix relative to sleeve axis equal to maximum angle of its skewness relative to yoke. Total gap between ends of roller and end limiting rings is determined in dependance upon length half of roller, maximum skewing angle of yoke, minimum angle of roller end.
