FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to rolling equipment, particularly, to roller hinges of roll milk main line drive universal spindles (tube-, bar- and sheet-rolling mills). Proposed roller hinge comprises cage and sleeve with semi-cylindrical grooves wherein barrel-shaped rolls are arranged retained by sleeve spherical ledges in axial direction. Besides, roller hinge is provided with semi-cylindrical inserts fitted in the cage semi-cylindrical grooves. Note here that outer radius of said inserts equals the radius of the cage semi-cylindrical grooves while inner radius of inserts equal that of semi-cylindrical grooves of the sleeve. Note also that the length of cage groove length equals that of cage groove, or semi-cylindrical inserts of roller hinge are fitted free in semi-cylindrical cage grooves and feature spherically curved inner surface with radius of curvature in lengthwise cross section equal to two radii of the roller curvature, inner radius in central cross section equal to that of semi-cylindrical grooves of the sleeve, and length equal to roller length.
