METHOD OF DETECTION AND ELIMINATION OF SWELLINGS OF SHEETS FROM FILTER CAKE AND DEVICE FOR ITS EMBODIMENT Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: production of sheets from filter cake by their pressing in dewatering extrusion press. SUBSTANCE: before each zone of pressing, thickness of cake to be pressed is measured by angular displacement transducer with subsequent regulation of pressing pressure through control system. Regulation is carried out up to elimination of swellings in respective zone by stepped reduction of working pressure. In case of attaining of value of working pressure, which is less than the minimum calculated for the given zone of pressing, the pressure is reduced successively in preceding zones. Pressure is increased after disappearance of swellings and expiration of holding time. The device for embodiment of the offered method includes airtight angular displacement transducer with induction relay and sensitive member connected with spring-loaded disk interacting with induction relay.
